Fun fact, the seats in that 320is are worth around $1500 if they are in decent shape. But yea, 12.5 is a bit much, 6-8 is where good examples usually go.

Pretty much. It takes not but 5 minutes to take a few simple photos for a craigslist ad, and just an extra minute to make the text look pretty. For any ad, doing that makes selling it vastly easier. And adding in the load of bull about the car never seeing rain or snow in Madison..... I would lick my own testicles if anyone turned out to not be lying through their teeth with those kinds of statements.

Yea, those Recaros are seriously works of art. My dad has a set in his 1600-2 that he bought of his friend who wrecked his 320is for $25 a piece, although this was back in the late 80s or early 90s. Definitely my favorite seat that I have ever sat in.

I think my cousin’s E30 has those. Or seats that are very similar. They were re-upholster in blue vinyl before he bought the car, but man are they great.

The E30 sport seats were similar to these but still great nonetheless, but the E21 Recaros are some of the most sought after seats in BMW world so its very possible he transplanted them.

Good supportive seats are always a quick way for a car to reach my heart.

I think there is an inverse relationship between the number of pictures and the possibility of it being a crack pipe. The better the car, less to hide, more the seller wants to show, the more the pictures. Not always but a good indicator.

I don’t understand that at all. To me if some one take the time to take 8-12 quality pics of their car; showing the whole car, as well as close ups of all four corners, both sides of the interior, and rear seat if there is one, maybe on of the cargo area as well, and a few of the engine bay, it shows that they actually care about the car. However if they take two pics with their old flip phone from 15 feet away. not only are they hiding something, chances are they don’t give a damn about the car, and probably skipped a few oil changes.
